It is connected to Delingha City in the west and to Tianjun County in the north. It is 97°01' to 99°27' in the east. The county's land is 12,858.16 square kilometers. As of 2010, Wulan County has jurisdiction over 4 towns, a total of 38 village (shepherd) committees, 36,555 people, including Han, Mongolian, Tibetan, Hui, Tu, Salar and other 17 ethnic groups.
