yanglingquIntroduction：Yangling Introduction: Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone is referred to as Yangling District or Yangling Demonstration Zone. It is the only agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone in China. It was established in Yangling District of Xianyang City on July 29, 1997. It is directly under the jurisdiction of Shaanxi Province. It is also managed by 23 central ministries and commissions. It has a prefecture-level administrative level and governs the county-level Yangling District. However, because of its particularity as an agricultural demonstration zone, it has not been separately listed as an administrative district by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China’s administrative divisions. It belongs to Xianyang City. The demonstration area management committee enjoys provincial economic management rights and some provincial administrative powers, enjoys various preferential policies of national high-tech industrial development zones, the state's policy of tilting support to agriculture, and various preferential policies for the development of the western region.
