It is named after the Pearl River water system, the upper reaches of the Beijiang River flowing through the territory, commonly known as “Hexi”. Wujiang District is located in the northern part of Guangdong Province, south of the Nanling Mountains, bordered by Wujiang and Beijiang in the east, across the river from the Qianjiang District in the east, Baitu Town in the Qujiang District in the south, and close to the Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County in the west. It is adjacent to Puli Town in Qianjiang District. Jianglin Road in Wujiang District, Wuguang High-speed Railway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, and 323 National Road cross the border. The urban and rural areas of the whole district have already passed Lutong, Dentsu and Xuntong. Wujiang District takes the construction real estate industry as the leading industry, and has built a large commercial residential community including Country Garden Sun City, Hengda City, Huizhan Huacheng, Jinze Garden, Hongzhou Garden, and Nanfeng Bishuihua City.
