It is the contact zone between the hills and the Jianghan Plain. It is in the city of Chibi. It is located in Wuhan, the capital of the north, and Yueyang, the important town of Xiangbei in the south. It is known as the “South Gate of Hubei”. It has jurisdiction over 15 towns, 4 streets, 2 state-owned forests and tea farms. The city is 68.9 kilometers long from east to west, with the widest and narrowest parts in the north and south being 60 kilometers, 26 kilometers and 1,723 square kilometers respectively. The population is 520,000, the urban population is 210,000, and the urban built-up area is 20 square kilometers. The Yangtze River flows through the northwestern border, mainly including Lushuihe, Xindianhe and Tingyihe. Chibi has a long history and is well-known in the world.
