The geographical coordinates are between 32°06′—33°09′ north latitude and 102°38′—104°15′ east longitude. It is connected to Pingwu County in the east, Yimao County in the south, adjacent to Beichuan County in the southeast, Hongyuan County and Heishui County in the west and southwest, and Jiuzhaigou County and Zoige County in the north. The lowest point is the mouth of Baiyang Township at the southeast end, at an altitude of 1080 meters. The highest point is Xuebaoding, the main peak of the Lushan Mountain Range, at an altitude of 5,588 meters.
