The west is adjacent to Jiangyang District, Naxi District and Qixian County, the east is connected with Jiangjin District of Chongqing, the north is connected with Yongchuan District, and the south is adjacent to Chishui City and Xishui County of Guizhou Province. Hejiang County is the first county in the Yangtze River to enter and exit Sichuan at the intersection of the Yangtze River, Chishui River and Xishui River. Hejiang County is 38.7 kilometers away from Zhangzhou, 260.1 kilometers away from Chengdu, 109.2 kilometers away from Chongqing Chaotianmen and 69 kilometers away from Chongqing Waihuan Expressway.
