Yinhai District is a county-level administrative district approved by the State Council on December 17, 1994. It is an integral part of Beihai's open-door region. Yinhai District is the junction of Beihai City, one county and three districts in the south-central part of Beihai City. It is connected to Haicheng District in the west, Beiwan Bay in the south, Tieshan Port Area in the east, and Hepu County in the north. There are highways, railways, international passenger terminals, airports and other infrastructure.
